Ata Rangi is a pioneering winery established in 1980 by Clive Paton in the Martinborough region of New Zealand. Clive, along with his wife Phyll and sister Alison, has been instrumental in developing the area's reputation for producing exceptional Pinot Noir. The winery's vineyards are situated on free-draining gravel terraces, ideal for grape growing. Winemaker Helen Masters leads the production of the Crimson Pinot Noir, a wine that reflects the estate's commitment to quality and sustainability. The Crimson label was introduced to support Project Crimson, a charitable trust dedicated to preserving New Zealand's native red-flowering pōhutukawa and rātā trees.
