Casa Ferreirinha, founded in 1952, was the first producer in the Douro Valley dedicated exclusively to still wines, moving away from the region's traditional focus on Port. The estate, now part of Sogrape, encompasses 520 hectares across all three Douro sub-regions: Baixo Corgo, Cima Corgo, and Douro Superior. Under the guidance of winemaker Luís Sottomayor, the winery emphasizes quality and sustainability in its viticulture and winemaking practices.
