Truchard Vineyards is a family-owned winery established in 1989 by Tony and Jo Ann Truchard in the Carneros region of Napa Valley. The estate spans 400 acres, with 113 hectares planted to vines, including 12 different grape varieties. The Chardonnay vines are situated in the coolest and southernmost part of the estate, benefiting from marine soils, gently sloped terrain, and cooler temperatures that make Carneros ideal for growing Chardonnay. The grapes are whole-cluster pressed, fermented in French oak barrels (one-third new), and aged on the lees for 10 months with regular bâtonnage to enhance texture and complexity.
