Domaine de l'Aurage was established in 2007 by siblings Louis and Caroline Mitjavile, who are also involved in the renowned estates Château Tertre-Roteboeuf and Roc de Cambes. The estate spans about 20 hectares in the Castillon - Côtes de Bordeaux appellation, situated just east of Saint-Émilion. The vineyards are predominantly planted with Merlot, with plans to gradually replace the Cabernet Franc with more Merlot through replanting. The terroir features clay-limestone soils, contributing to the wine's character.
